About

About Pearl Beach

Pearl Beach, the most beautiful beach-side village on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia. True to its name, Pearl Beach is a 'Gem' located on the western shoreline of Broken Bay, sharing the peninsula with nearby Patonga. Pearl Beach was assigned 'suburb' status by the Geographical Names Board of NSW on 25 October 1991. Pearl Beach is a unique exception when compared with other areas of the Central Coast where rapid growth has been the norm over the past thirty-odd years.

Residences have been constructed to blend in with the local vegetation which, over the years, has been maintained mostly in its original pristine condition. The appearance to most visitors to our village is one of bushland with houses rather than the expected opposite.

The area is home or a weekend retreat for some of Sydney's media personalities and busy executives and their families. Today, according to the most recent census, Pearl Beach is home to just over about five hundred and forty plus persons and made up of 140 families. There are just over 637 properties in the village of which all are private dwellings.

Coming to Pearl Beach to visit a resident, family or an acquaintance; for a family vacation, a romantic weekend retreat or just for a day or two's break from the city bustle , you may rest assured you'll always be made to feel welcome.

Pearl Beach Safety Advisory Group

Pearl Beach Progress Association

The Pearl Beach Progress Association, with community involvement and assistance, has established a community safety advisory group. The group, now known as the Pearl Beach Safety Advisory Group (PBSAG), has been instrumental in the procurement, installation and maintenance of vital life saving equipment at the beach front and other locations in Pearl Beach.
A vital part of the PBSAG initiative has been the organised CPR / Defibrillator and Beach Safety courses and demonstrations as well as half day and full day accredited First Aid Courses with the assistance of Surf Life Saving NSW. The map of safety equipment locations in Pearl Beach is shown below.

The Pearl Beach Safety Advisory Group additionally has initiated a program, called Neighbour Alert. They have established a community group who will work together in a bush fire emergency, providing timely information and/or access to information for residents about any bush fire/s that may impact upon or are affecting Pearl Beach.
